Software Freedom Day at Menoufia University is hosted by MUFIX Community, a student community based at the Faculty of Computers and Information at Menoufia University.

MUFIX is one of the fastest growing communities at Menoufia University, having become the third Sun Microsystems certified Java User Group in Egypt, as well as a Sun Open Source University Meetup (OSUM) century club, only five years after its foundation.
